Single-day recoveries outnumbered new COVID-19 cases in Nagaland as 89 people were cured of the disease and 59 tested positive for the infection. The fresh infections pushed the state’s tally to 5,730.
The state reported 89 recoveries of COVID-19 patients 45 from Kohima, 39 from Dimapur, 3 from Zunheboto and 2 from Tuensang.
The recovery rate among COVID-19 patients in the state is currently at 80.24 per cent.

Out of 716 results received 59 positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed 46 in Dimapur, 8 in Kohima, 4 in Zunheboto and 1 in Mon district.
The state now has 1,088 active patients, while 4,598 people have recovered from the disease. 16 patients died and 28 have migrated to other states.
Of the 16 fatalities, 11 succumbed to the infections and five coronavirus patients died due to comorbidities.
Dimapur has the highest number of active cases at 743, followed by Kohima at 298 and Mokokchung at 17.
Of the total coronavirus cases in the state, 2,716 are armed forces personnel and 1,462 are returnees.
Nagaland has tested 76,072 samples for COVID-19 so far.
