DIMAPUR: A private school, several shops were reduced to ashes in a major fire that broke out in Mon town of Nagaland in the early hours of yesterday.
According to reports, nothing was saved from the fire.
The fire entirely engulfed files and documents belonging to students of the Holy Cross School and the school was also completely burnt in the fire.
Fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot, and with the help of public and army personnel successfully managed to tame the fire around 2.30 am.
However, no casualties were reported.
The cause of the was suspected to be from electric short circuit.

According to reports, the school, Holy Cross School, was founded by a South Indian man in collaboration with residents.
Earlier, last week houses gutted by and a Saw Mill along with one house were partially burnt in multiple fire incidents in the state, in which property worth Rs. 2 lakh approximately was reduced to ashes in the fire and a Saw Mill along with one house was partially burnt.
