Nagas in Manipur have expressed their solidarity with China through a song at the wake of Coronavirus, also called COVID-19 outbreak that led to an emergency-like situation.

Stay Strong Wuhan, China Stay Strong…sang Manipur’s popular folk musician, Rewben Mashangva at the annual Lui-Ngai-Ni festival in Ukhrul, Manipur. The song was dedicated to the people of China. It urged the country and its people to be strong and sent out the message that the Nagas in Manipur will pray for the neighbors.

The song has gone viral soon after it was uploaded on the internet. It has received mixed response from netizens across the northeast but has certainly come to limelight for a rather different approach to the disease that has been the global concern since the past few days.

It may be mentioned here that a staggering 14,840 new cases of Coronavirus have been reported from Hubei, China. The number of fresh deaths have increased to 242. A total of 63,851 cases and 1,380 deaths, including those detected using the new criteria have been reported from China
