SHILLONG: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has expressed his view in regards to boosting the state's economy with available resources through entrepreneurship attending the graduation ceremony of Cohort-1 entrepreneurs and on-boarding ceremony of Cohort-2 entrepreneurs, selected under CM’s E-Championship, at Tree House Tura.
"The Government is committed to promote entrepreneurs and create an enabling environment of opportunities," said CM Sangma.
Sangma added, "Through E-Championship, the Govt has been able to bring to the fore passionate youth, who were keen to pursue careers in entrepreneurship."
During the event, Assam's two noted entrepreneurs, Bhanu Pratap from Northeast Farm Sales Promotion and Ranjith Baruah from Aromica Tea, shared their experience on their entrepreneurial journey as well.
“We have conceptualised the E-Championship Challenge to provide a platform for our entrepreneurs who have the passion but due to lack of opportunities were unable to upscale their business entities. Through this programme, we have identified the best business ideas, and have helped them to upscale their venture. We are providing mentorship and incubation to enable them to take a new leap in their entrepreneurial journey,” Sangma said.
