KOHIMA: Mrs. Visevonuo Bebi Tsürho, president of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) passed away this morning.
Chief minister Neiphiu Rio has condoled her sudden demise,wrote on Twitter, “Condolences to the family members of Mrs. Visevonuo Bebi Tsürho, President @NDPPofficial Women Organisation, members of the NDPP, the faculty and students of Kohima Law College and all her well-wishers.”

“Shocked & deeply saddened on the demise of Founding @WomenNdpp President Visevonuo Bebi Tsürhuo. She was a dedicated party leader & an advocate for women empowerment, gender equity and a just society. She had so much more to contribute. Go well Bebi. RIP,” Tweeted the NDPP.
Besides a dedicated party leader, Bebi Tsürho was an advocate for women empowerment gender equity, and a just society.
She was instrumanal in founding the NDPP from the time of the party's inception.
CM Rio further said in her demise, the party has lost a prominent leader and the Naga society bids farewell to a person who had so much more to contribute.
“My family members join me in praying to the Almighty to grant eternal rest to the departed soul and may God provide solace to the members of the braved family,” The chief minister added.
NDPP is a part of the PDA Government in Nagaland, led by CM Rio.
