GUWAHATI: NorthEast United FC (NEUFC) on Friday announced addition of a tooth to their frontline attack signing Jamaican national Deshorn Brown from Bengaluru FC.
Brown has made the move having scored seven goals in 20 appearances for Bengaluru since joining the Indian Super League club in January 2020. Earlier, Brown has plied his trade in the USA, Norway, China and Spain, having played for Colorado Rapids, DC United and Shenzen FC to name a few.
Brown has also featured for the Jamaican national team with two goals in 14 outings for the Reggae Boyz.
Brown’s addition is expected to strengthen the forward line spearheaded by Luis Machado and Kwesi Appiah in the rest of the league.

Speaking on the signing, NEUFC executive director Priya Runchal said: “Deshorn brings with him the experience of playing in the top leagues across the world as well as knowledge of Indian football. Both of which is incredibly valuable during this stage of the ISL. We are confident that he will hit the ground running and will have an impact on the team as we look to push for a playoff spot.” The club has lately sacked Spanish manager Gerard Nus after a seven-match winless stint in the league at Goa.
