The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out raids in three different locations of Manipur on Wednesday morning, which is suspected to be in relation to an alleged case of "terror funding".
According to sources, a team of NIA from New Delhi, led by an officer of DIG rank, began the raid from early morning at the Eastern Hero Showroom owned by Sinam Pritam and the private residence of Ringon alias Ramung located at Dewlaland Kabo Leikai, with assistance of the State police, IRB, Manipur Rifles and women police personnel.'

CRPF personnel were being deployed in front of Maruti Suzuki Arena showroom located at Chingmeirong Nepali Basti, which is also owned by Sinam Pritam as well. During the raid, no one was allowed to enter or go outside the showroom.
Ringon alias Ramung who originally hails from Ukhrul is stated to be the owner of Ramung Enterprises (godown) at Chingmeirong Mamang Leikai, which stores cement and iron.

It is being suspected that the raids were carried out by NIA in connection with terror funding cases and till the time of filing this report, there has been no official report regarding the raid from the NIA nor any official report regarding any seizures.
