DIMAPUR: The Isaak Muivah faction of the Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagalim has mourned the demise of one of its senior functionaries who has been elevated to the rank of 'Corporal' following his demise.
Self-styled Lance Corporal Isaac Saka, Army no. 44331/15 of the Moba Brigade, Naga Army reportedly passed away on June 5 of 2021.
Saka, who hailed from Yamolching village under Khurmi Region, reportedly enrolled in the 'Naga national service' on the 26th January, 2016.
"He served the Naga nation with unwavering patriotism until his demise. For his selfless contributions to the Naga national cause, his name shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and his sacrifices for the Naga nation shall ever be cherished by all," the NSCN-IM wrote in its condolence message.
The Adjutant General of the Naga Army has bestowed upon him posthumously the rank of Corporal on the 5th June, 2021 in recognition of his service to the Naga nation, the communique further added.
"GPRN conveys deep condolences to the bereaved family members of (L) Corporal Isaac Saka. May our Lord bless and comfort his family members during this time of grief! We pray for his spirit to rest in eternal peace," the NSCN-IM further wrote.
