NSCN-K cadre held with arms in Nagaland

DIMAPUR: One Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagalim-Khaplang (NSCN-K) cadre was arrested in Nagaland by Security forces.

The NSCN-K cadre was arrested by the security forces at Thahekhu village here on Saturday, a defence release said on Sunday.

Based on a specific input, Security forces in a joint operation with police launched a joint operation in the village and apprehended the cadre.

The security forces also seized one 32 mm pistol and two live rounds were from his possession.

The release said the cadre was involved in extortion activities.

The apprehended cadre, along with the recovered items, was handed over to Sub Urban police station in Dimapur.
