GANGTOK: Sikkim's home department has issued a clarification in regards to the government's earlier declaration the people who have been inoculated against the COVID-19 (including tourists) can now enter the state through the Melli and Rangpo check posts.
"In case of tourists entering Sikkim, if one or more members of the same family have received a double dose of COVID-19 vaccine, while others have received only a single dose or they are accompanied by children below 18 years of age, such individuals shall also be allowed to enter with valid RTPCR report conducted within 72 hours of arrival," the home department
On the other hand, tourists who are partially vaccinated or not vaccinated shall not be permitted entry into the state.

Sikkim will allow inter-state movement from July 5. The relaxation is allowed for those fully vaccinated and after the submission of RT-PCR negative report at Melli and Rangpo check-posts.
The government in its new guidelines stated that all hotels, guest houses, and homestays will be allowed to operate with 50 percent capacity with COVID-19 protocols. Malls, and showrooms will be permitted to operate with COVID-19 protocols.
The movement of passengers boarding or returning from Pakyong or Bagdogra airports and New Jalpaiguri Railway station in West Bengal will be allowed on the production of journey tickets and negative RT-PCR reports conducted within 72 hours of arrival.
