KOHIMA: The first three villages of Nagaland that have achieved 100 per cent vaccination in recent days received a special mention today from Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his monthly radio program 'Mann Ki Baat.'
"I came to know about three villages in Nagaland also where people have been vaccinated 100 percent," PM Modi was heard saying on the radio.
Longjemdang and Moalenden villages under Mokokchung district and Yali village under Tuensang district have achieved 100 percent vaccination on June 17 -- a month after Nagaland started vaccination drive for people aged 18 years and above on May 17.
By June 22, more villages -- namely Lhuvishe old village, Shangsa village, Moalenden village, and Aoyimkum village -- achieved the same milestone as well.
Yesterday, the Nagaland Health Department declared in an issued statement that villages from Mokokchung district namely Longsemdang, Khensa, and Salulemang, have also achieved the feat.
