NEW DELHI: President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday appointed eight new governors giving them charge of administration of new states ahead of a possible cabinet expansion.
Former BJP state president of Andhra Pradesh, Hari Babu Kambhampati, has been appointed as the new Governor of Mizoram replacing P.S Sreedharan Pillai. Pillai shall now take over as the Governor of Goa.

Governor of Haryana Satyadev Narayan Arya is the new Governor of Tripura. Ramesh Bais, Governer of Tripura has now been appointed as the new Governor of Jharkand.
Among other states, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, BJP’s leader from Goa and former Speaker, will replace Bandaru Dattatraya who will take over as Haryana Governor.
Madhaya Pradesh will have Mangubhai Chhaganbhai Patel as the new Governor.
Reportedly, the appointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices.
