PROTEST AGAINST CITIZENSHIP AMENDMENT BILL IN TINSUKIA DISTRICT

Protest lodged by Bethak - a social and cultural organization of the District.

While there is a spur of protest in the entire State , Tinsukia witnessed protests of similar kind by a cultural and social organization named Bethak. The organization lodged the protest to express their grudges against the proposed Bill. The members shaved their heads to convey their grievances against the bill. The protest commenced around 11 am and lasted to 1pm . The protest was also coordinated by Krikhak Mukti Sangram Samiti, Moran Students Union and many others.
