MUMBAI: Tragedy struck the Kapoor family on Tuesday as Rajiv Kapoor, the younger brother of Rishi and Randhir Kapoor, passed away following a massive heart attack. He was 58.
Trade analyst Komal Nahta broke the unfortunate news on Twitter earlier today.
"Very sad news. Rajiv (Chimpu) Kapoor passes away following a heart attack," he wrote.
Rajiv Kapoor is best known for his performance in 'Ram Teri Ganga Maili' (1985) and 'Ek Jaan Hain Hum' (1983). In an acting career spanning less than a decade, Rajiv has acted in 14 films.
In 1996, he made his directorial debut with the commercially unsuccessful 'PremGranth', which starred his brother Rishi and Madhuri Dixit.
In 1999, he produced 'Aa Ab Laut Chalein' directed by his brother Rishi.
