Nagpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat tested positive for coronavirus yesterday afternoon.
Bhagwat, 70, has been showing commons symptoms of coronavirus infection, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) tweeted via it's official handle. The organization further added that he has been hospitalized at the Kingsway hospital in Nagpur.
"He is currently having common symptoms of COVID-19 and has been admitted to Kingsway Hospital in Nagpur, is undergoing general check-up and caution," the RSS tweeted in Hindi.
Bhagwat had taken his first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine on March 7. Along with Bhagwat, the General Secretary of RSS Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi also received his first dose of the vaccine against novel coronavirus at Nagpur's National Cancer Institute that day.
Bhagwat, however, was not administered the second dose of vaccine.
