Sikkim CM Awards Rs 3 Lakh to Young 'Guitar Hero' Ladorjee Tamang

Gangtok, January 20, 2020:

Sikkim Chief Minister P. S. Tamang awarded a letter of appreciation and announced Rs 3 lakh as a token of appreciation to Ladorjee Tamang, who recently won the first position in solo guitar competition in the solo guitar competition in the 23rd National Youth Festival held in Lucknow from January 12- 16.

The facilitation ceremony honouring the young 'guitar hero' was held at Jorthang Playground on the occasion of the 9th All India Chief Minister International Football Tournament on 19 January, 2020. The function was attended by several Ministers and dignitaries of the Sikkim Government.

While conferring citation and khadas, the Chief Minister congratulated him and assured support for the young maestro's future endeavours. Moreover, the Chief Minister, Golay, also announced plans to organize district wise youth festivals to provide a platform to the youths of all the Constituencies to exhibit their skills.

According to the Chief Minister, the District Youth Festival will be a competitive event. The winner of the District Youth Festival will participate in the State Youth Festival.
