GANGTOK: Sikkim chief minister Prem Singh Tamang today chaired a meeting with the state health department at Samman Bhawan, Gangtok.
During the meeting, CM inquired about the ground report of the construction and renovation of infrastructures under the department and other matters related to the health sector.

Topics like Medical Equipment, Covid dedicated hospital and others, CHCs, repairing and up gradation of various PHCs and PHSCs, the initiation of Mobile Village Clinic, new construction, renovation/repairing of Hospital buildings, manpower management, conveyance to the deserving incumbents, management of salary for the new appointees, up-gradation of approach roads, the status of vaccination in the state and procurement of ambulances were discussed during the meeting.
In a release, the chief minister said, "the officials updated us regarding the commencement of the 2nd dose of vaccination for 45 years and above in separate facilities. Similarly, they also informed about an inventory of machines and equipment and the status of works under the department."
Moreover, proposed plans for establishing a viral lab and Dialysis centre at Jorethang and Oxygen filling plant at Rangpo were also were thoroughly discussed in the meeting.
Sikkim CM chaired the meeting in the presence of Minister MK Sharma, ACS Health, Secretary Health, and other senior officials.
