The owners of these phones had given up hope of getting back their phones, since considerable time had passed after they had filed the missing report. However, the owners of the lost phones received a pleasant surprise when they got a calls from the cyber cell about their phones being recovered.
Manish Verma, SP CID, said, "Technical surveillance along with human efforts is a must in such cases, as it takes a long time and dedicated effort to track down the lost phones. Today, the phones were handed over to a few of the owners and their faces lit up. Some of the phones that were recovered by the team were high-end ones, and the owners have thanked us profusely. Further, the personal data of the users were stored in the phone."
