GANGTOK: Sikkim reported a record single-day rise of 124 COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours pushing the tally in the state to 6,970.
While East Sikkim registered 107 COVID-19 positive cases, North Sikkim reported 14 and South Sikkim recorded three cases.
The state at present has an active caseload of 640, while 152 patients have migrated to other states.
On the other hand, 6,041 people have recovered from the disease so far.

Meanwhile, a 53-year-old woman succumbed to the disease yesterday, taking the death toll in the state to 137.
Sikkim has till now tested 89,211 samples for COVID-19, including 653 during the past 24 hours.
