GANGTOK: Sikkim reported 828 fresh cases of COVID-19 in a span of 48 hours on Thursday, taking the state’s total cumulative COVID count to 14634.
Currently, the Himalayan state stands at 3794 cases of COVID-19.
A total of 227 COVID-19 patients recovered within the last 24 hours taking the state's cumulative recovered cases to 10385.

The state’s death tally has reached 243 with 3 more deaths recorded in the last 24 hours.
The East District recorded 235 new cases while the west district recorded 47. The south and the north districts reported 136 and 02 new cases of COVID-19 respectively.
A total of 1422 samples were tested in the past 24 hours, out of which 429 samples were tested through Rapid Antigen Test.
Six more sample were tested through TRUNAT/ CBNAAT, out of which only one sample came out positive.
The result of 353 samples was positive out of the 987 samples that were tested through RT-PCR.
