GANGTOK: Sikkim reported 142 new cases of COVID-19 and one death due to the infection in the past 24 hours.
With the new cases being reported in the period, the state's COVID19- tally has risen upto 20,324, a health department bulletin said today.
The one fatality due to the infection was reported from the Himalayan state taking the death toll to 305.
Meanwhile, of the rotal new cases, the East Sikkim registered 85 new cases followed by West Sikkim (31), South Sikkim (19), and North Sikkim (seven).

Sikkim currently has 2,065 active COVID-19 cases, while 252 people infected with the virus have migrated to other states, and 17, 702 patients have recovered from the disease.
Sikkim tested 615 samples during the period taking the total number of samples tested so far to 16,824.
The COVID-19 positivity rate of Sikkim is now 23 %, while the recovery rate has increased to 87.9 %.
