GANGTOK: Prem Singh Tamang, chief minister of Sikkim, has announced that the Sikkim government will start the vaccination drive for the people above 18 to 44 years from May 16.
Online registration has started in the state for the same.
CM Tamang had taken the decision after a coordinator meeting with ADCS and BDOS of the state that held in Samman Bhawan yesterday.

The meeting was to discuss issues facing by the public of Sikkim due to the COVID-19 virus.
Tamang added further that COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment or isolation at their homes will get medicines delivered at their respective homes by the health department.
Sikkim reported 241 news COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours. Currently, the state has 2,739 active cases.
Sikkim is also under night curfew and few other restrictions since May 6 which will be in force till May 16.
