Sikkim: Women Referee likely to be a part of Fifa Panel in 2022

GANGTOK: National Level football referees under SFA Referee Board Phurki Lhamu Bhutia and lReshmi Chettri recently returned from Bangalore after attending rigorous fitness test. The two Sikkimese women referees were amongst 6 (six ) candidates from India who are short-listed by AIFF for the purpose.

The result of the fitness test is expected to be out in next one month's time. The successful candidates will then be recommended by AIFF for inclusion in FIFA panel for the year 2022.

In a small programme at Football House, Gangtok SFA felicitated both Ms.Phurki Lhamu Bhutia and Ms. Reshmi Chettri.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Menla Ethenpa, President, SFA wished both of them good luck for the final result.

Ethenpa congratulated SFA Referee Board for this achievement. He called upon young educated Sikkimese girls to come forward and adapt this profession which is not only paying but also takes you to different part of the world.
