Singhat Battalion braves save Yeoman’s life

Guwahati, December 21, 2018:

A resident of a Manipur village collided with a Shaktiman truck on Thursday and sustained severe injuries on his face, chest and back. Some people who were passing by quickly rushed him to the local company of the Singhat Battalion, Assam Rifles. He was administered first aid and was further referred to the Medical Inspection Room at Singhat.

Once the patient was taken to Singhat Battalion, the Senior Medical Officer Imotiba stabilised the patient and addressed the wounds one by one. The patient had lost a lot of blood needed stitches. Once stable, he was further referred to Regional Institute of Medical Sciences at Imphal.

The quick thinking of the people and the selfless and spontaneous act of the member of the Singhat Battalion Assam Rifles helped in saving the life of this individual.
