SSUM condemns attack on Umar Khalid

Socialist Students’ Union of Manipur (SSUM) has strongly condemned the attack on Umar Khalid of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

The SSUM said that the attempt to kill democratic voices who are strongly criticizing Hindutva brigade for spreading hatred and Hindutva government is shameful.

It said “the entire country is going to celebrate its Independence Day tomorrow, when the people and constitution are not safe even in India’s capital.”

The SSUM also mentioned the earlier incidents of assassinations of Gauri Lankesh, Narendra Dhabolkar, Govind Pansare and MM Kalburgi.
