NEW DELHI: Supreme Court judge Justice Mohan M Shantanagoudar died on Sunday at a private hospital in Gurgaon.
He was 62 years old.
According to the sources, Justice Shantanagoudar was admitted to Medanta hospital with a lung infection and was in the intensive care unit.

His condition was said to be stable until late Saturday night, but doctors treating him, broke the sad news to his family around 12.30 am.
Sources close to him refused to confirm or deny whether the judge had COVID-19.
On February 17, 2017, Justice Shantanagoudar was appointed in the Supreme Court as a judge.
He was born in Karnataka on May 5, 1958, and enrolled as an advocate on September 5, 1980.
On May 12, 2003, he was named as an additional judge to the Karnataka High Court, and in September 2004, he was appointed as a permanent judge to the court.
On August 1, 2016, he was moved to the Kerala High Court, where he assumed the position of acting chief justice.
On September 22, 2016, he was appointed chief justice of the Kerala High Court before being promoted to the role of top court judge.
