Bangkok: Thailand's Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha was fined 6,000 baht ($190) on Monday for not wearing a face mask while attempting to contain the coronavirus, according to the governor of Bangkok Aswin Kwanmuang.

After a picture of Prayuth without a mask in a meeting surfaced on his Facebook page. Later, the photograph was removed.
"I informed the prime minister this was a violation of rules", Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang wrote on his official Facebook page.
According to Aswin, the prime minister inquired at city hall about the restrictions, which states that masks must be worn at all times outside of residences.
