NEW DELHI: Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju wished young Indian wrestler Sonam Malik ahead of the Tokyo Olympics on Monday.
"Sonam Malik is the youngest Indian woman wrestler to qualify for the Olympics. She is training very hard with her teammates. My best wishes to @OLYSonam," Rijiju tweeted.

Sakshi Malik, a 19-year-old from Madina village in Haryana's Sonepat district made headlines when she beat out Rio Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik to gain a spot on the Indian team.
Sonam, who has built out a position for herself in the 62kg weight class, is now preparing to compete on the world's largest stage: the Olympics, where she will be the youngest Indian woman wrestler to ever compete.
A total of 100 Indian athletes have qualified for the Tokyo Olympics across 11 sports and 25 more likely to qualify for the main event, the specifics of which will be released by the end of June.
On July 23, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics will begin.
