Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has declared the H.S. (+2) science stream result on Tuesday morning much before the expected date. This move of the Tripura board is expected to be of great benefit to meritorious students in regards to pursuance of higher education.
This year, the board has also declared the top ten provisional merit rank holders and among them, Nilanjan Deb of Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan secured the top position with 485 marks.
Addressing the press conference to announce the results at the Tripura board's office, TBSE president Dr Bhabotosh Saha accompanied by other officials of the board said that altogether 3,358 students had appeared in the examinations from Science stream under 'Regular' category, and among them, 2,987 students have secured pass marks. This result is highly impressive as the total pass percentage of 88.95 % is a drastic improvement over last year's pass percentage of 84.31 %.
Altogether, 12 students secured positions in the top ten merit ranks. Among them, six students are from Agartala schools and the others are from subdivisional schools.
Dr Saha said that the altogether, 27,200 had appeared in the examinations from all streams for the Higher Secondary examination which commenced on March 1 across the state and ended on April 4.
The evaluation of answer sheets started on April 21 last in different venues across Agartala and Board within 26 days managed to publish the results. Dr Saha added that for review of the answer sheets, the candidates must file their applications within the next three days and all applications for review should reach at the board office within May 26 from their respective schools.
He added that all other results of board examinations including results for Madhyamik, Madrassa, HS Arts and Humanities will be declared before June 10.
From all categories of examination including regular, continue, compartmental, single-subject, etc, a total of 3,786 appeared for the examinations and among them, 3,241 students secured pass marks.
