Agartala, June 9, 2019:

A 15-year-old boy from Tripura has scripted a truly remarkable success story by performing well in the Xth exams held in the Northeastern state. What makes this boy, Pralay Dey, special, you might ask? Well, he has overcome immense odds as he was born with deformed hands and as such, has to write the exams with his feet.

He has a rare deformity which was only worsened by the orthopaedic treatment, as his hands got only got thinner and he had to resort to writing with his feet.

Pralay Dey, who hails from Udaipur in Tripura's Gomati district has cleared his Class X board exams with flying colors. It may be mentioned that the results of the exam were declared on Saturday.

The braveheart was a student of the Matabari HS School and wrote his papers using his feet.

He secured first division marks and scored 346 marks in total with 'letter' marks in both language papers.

Meanwhile, despite scoring really good marks, the young lad thinks he should have scored more, and as a result, he plans to send his answersheets for a 'review'.

Apart from being a very sincere student, the young boy is also an ardent artist and has won many awards competing in state-level art competitions.

Putul Guha Dey, Pralay’s mother who works as a helper at an anganwadi centre has said that her son has scored well in his language papers, but marks in two papers were not up to his expectations. As a result, he will file a review with the Tripura Board of Secondary Education as my son is confident that he's secured more marks in the rest of the papers.
