AGARTALA: Three youths have been booked by Tripura Police on charges of attempting to murder Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, reports said.
The Chief Minister reportedly had a close call on Thursday after a security personnel saved him from a speeding vehicle that was approaching towards him.
The incident took place on Thursday when the Chief Minister was near the IGM Chowuhani in Agartala.

Reportedly, Deb was returning to his official residence after his evening walk when one of the security personnel spotted a vehicle rushing towards the Chief Minister. The security personnel moved the Chief Minister away saving him at the nick of the moment.
After about an half and hour chase, Tripura Police reportedly seized the vehicle bearing registration number TR01-0356 and arrested three youth; Subham Saha, (27) resident of Kashari Patty, Aman Saha (25) resident of Ramthakur Sangha and Gairik Ghosh (24) who were in the vehicle.
A case has been registered against the three under sections 279, 427, 353, 332 and 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The three accused were brought to the court on Friday and later taken into police custody.
