AGARTALA: After successfully exporting pineapples and lemons to the Middle East, Tripura has now exported jackfruit to the United Kingdom.
It is for the first time Tripura has exported sweet jackfruits to the United state.
The consignment of jackfruits will be transported to UK through a Guwahati-based export company named 'Kiega Exims Pvt. Ltd. from Krishi Sanyoga Agro Producer company limited, Agartala under MIDH scheme.

Our Government is committed to fulfilling the vision of PM ">@narendramodi ji for ensuring the prosperity of our Annadatas," chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted.350 jackfruit weighing 34 kg were exported to England as part of the trial, with the state farmers receiving Rs 30 per piece from the exporting business.
