AGARTALA: The Tripura government has extended curfew in the state till July 24 and imposed total lockdown on weekends.
The curfew would be continued in 12 locations including the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC).
In the West district, Ranirbazar Municipal Council, Jirania Nagar Panchayat and AMC, in the Khowai district, Khowai and Teliamura Municipal Councils, Kailasahar and Kumarghat Municipal Councils in Unakoti district, Dharmanagar Municipal Council and Panisagar Nagar Panchayat in the North district, Kamalpur Nagar Panchayat in Dhalai district are the places identified for the curfew.

The weekend curfew will be in effect from 5 am on Saturday to 6 am on Monday. Day and night curfews will be in effect on weekdays from 2 pm on July 19 until 5 am on July 24.
The public's freedom of movement has been restricted in the same way. This weekend however some curfew relaxations have been granted.
Medicine, fruit, vegetable, dairy, fish, meat, egg, animal feed and ration shops would remain open during the full curfew in Tripura on weekends, according to the new restrictions.
The shops on the other hand will allow shoppers to stand in one spot and maintain a distance of at least 36 square feet.
The Tripura has received a total of 2,808,661 doses of the Covid vaccination. There have been 25,922 dosages provided in the last 24 hours.
