AGARTALA:Tripura government has postponed the annual exams for classes III-class IX and class XI until further notice due to an increase in the COVID-19 cases across the state.
The government has decided to postpone annual examinations considering the students' safety and security.
This was informed by the state education minister, Ratan Lal Nath.
The notification issued by the govt in this regard says, “Due to the current overall cowardly situation, the state education department has decided to postpone all examinations from class III to class IX and XI beginning on April 26 until further notice.”

The ongoing pre-board exams for classes 10 and 12 will be continued as scheduled, the notification further added.
Tripura Board exams 2021 for classes 10 and 12 are set to begin on May 19 and 18, 2021.
The notice also states that all previous instructions and guidelines should remain in effect.
This shall apply to all state government, government-aided, unaided private schools, and madrasa.
Tripura had previously ordered the suspension of offline classes, as well as the closure of all colleges and universities until further notice.
