AGARTALA: Due to a surge in COVID-19 cases in the state, the Tripura government has postponed the selection test for graduate teachers and postgraduate teachers (STGT and STPGT) scheduled on May 2 and 8 untill further notice.
In light of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, it has been decided that the STGT and STPGT 2020, which were scheduled to be held on May 2nd and 8th, 2021, are hereby postponed until further order, the notification issued by the state government stated.

However, the revised dates for the tests is yet to be announced.
The information was shared by the state education minister Ratan Lal on Twitter.
The recruitment tests for STGT and STPGT are conducted by the Teacher’s Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRTB) every year for the selection of candidates as elementary school teachers, graduate teachers for classes 9-10, and postgraduate teachers for classes 11-12.
