AGARTALA: Smart city Agartala bagged the Sustainable Business Model Award for Integrated Command and Control Centre.

Agartala Smart City has received Sustainable Business Model Award for Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC)from Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs,Government of India!"

"We are committed at ensuring best facilities for our Tripura", he added.
The urban affairs ministry announced the awards on Friday in order to commemorate the six years of the central government’s three initiatives to boost urban development. The initiatives include Smart Cities Mission (SCM), Atal Mission for Urban Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U).
The cities were ranked based on many parameters including built environment, water, urban mobility, urban environment, sanitation, economy, overnance, culture etc.
The parameters of sustainable business model of Integrated Command and Control Centres and innovation in Covid-19 management was intriduced owing to the pandemic.
So far, 69 cities in India have operationalised these ICCCs under the Smart Cities Mission and these are being developed across all 100 smart cities, the ministry said.
Besides Agartala, Indore and Vadodara ranked best for the sustainable business model of ICCCs.
