Tripura Youth Dies of Coronavirus in Malaysia

Agartala, January 30, 2020:

A youth hailing from Tripura, who had settled in Malaysia for employment purpose, has died after he was infected with the deadly Coronavirus.

The youth, Manir Hossain was reportedly infected with the disease that originated in China and spread elsewhere. He was 23 years old and had shifted to Malaysia to build his career. However, he breathed his last at a hospital in Malaysia.

Hossain’s family who resides in old Raj Nagar area under Bisalgarh, will be seeking the government’s support to bring his mortal remains home.

It needs mention here that thousands have been undergoing treatment following the outbreak of Coronavirus. China has imposed travel restrictions and wearing masks in public has been made compulsory to control further infection. However, the death toll has been on the rise, with the latest figures reaching 170. India has also begun the process of evacuating nationals from Wuhan, China, which has been impacted the most by the outbreak of Coronavirus.

Coronavirus or 2019-nCoV is a new form of a virus that emerged from a seafood and animal market in the central city of Wuhan in China and soon spread across China and neighboring countries.

Tripura has sent alerts to the authorities to be prepared for any such scenario in the state. Several medical desks have been set up in almost every entry point of the state such as Airports, Major Railway stations, ISBT, Akhaura Checkpost, etc. as per reports.
