Union education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank tests positive for COVID-19

NEW DELHI: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has tested positive for COVID-19 today.

After receiving a positive report, he is following medical advice, the 61-year-old said.

The minister sharing an update on his health wrote on Twitter, " I am taking medication & treatment as per the advice of my doctors. Request all those who have come in my contact recently to be observant, and get themselves tested,”

He also asked that anyone who had recently come into contact with should get tested.

Furthermore, he said that the Education Ministry's work is being carried out normally while taking the necessary precautions.
