NEW DELHI: The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Saturday has written letters to the heads of the United Nations (UN), United Nation’s High Commission for Human Rights (UNHRC) and the European Union urging them to stop the unabated Hindu ‘genocide’ in Bangladesh.
In the letters to the three international bodies, the joint general- secretary and the head of international affairs of VHP, Swami Vigyananand urged to set up and international enquiry commission and send a fact-finding mission to Bangladesh and pressurize the Bangladesh government to ensure security, justice and commission to the victims.
Vigyananand also requested to give exemplary punishment to the perpetrators of the crime and further went on to urged the bodies to take action.
The letters were addressed to Antonio Guterres the Secretary-General UNO, Michelle Bachelet Jeria of United Nations High Commission for Human Rights and Ursula von der Leyen, the President EU.
