Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu calls for "Indianisation" of education system

NEW DELHI: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today called for Indianisation of the education system in the country while inaugurating Rishihood University at Vigyan Bhawan, today.

Addressing a gathering of educationalists, Naidu said India has rich knowledge, traditions and practices. He said the New Education Policy has initiated Indianisation of education system and appealed the educationalists to join hands to strengthen the government efforts.

The Union cabinet in July 2020 approved the New Education Policy (NEP), which aims at universalization of education from pre-school to secondary level.
