GUWAHATI: A shocking video is spreading like wildfire on the internet which has sparked some rather interesting debates and discussions in the social media platforms.
In the video, recorded on a helmet-perched cam, a biker almost collides with a girl riding a scooter. The woman, who was not wearing a helmet and talking on the phone, proceeds to flip off the man.
Angered, the biker confronts her and asks why she was not wearing a helmet, to which she says: "I was busy on the phone."
The situation turns heated, with both sides refusing to calm down, leading to further name-calling and abuse.
After the biker leaves the site of the incident, the girl follows him on her scooter and confronts him again.
The exasperated biker eventually says that he wants to file a complaint at the nearest police station.
The girl agrees and eventually says that she wants to lodge a "sexual molestation complaint". The video cuts as the biker gasps in shock at the young woman's temerity.
The video, uploaded recently on popular Instagram page north.eastern.chronicle, has racked up over 30,000 views.
Netizens have been divided on their verdict so far, with some thundering at the woman for making such a shocking threat, while others have questioned the veracity of the video.
"This is how some girls misuse their power," said a user, while another user said, "There is a dire need for a law that protects men from fake allegations of molestation. Such an allegation can destroy a man's life."
"This video is scripted. Similar videos are uploaded on youtube," said a user, questioning its authenticity.
The uploader did not specify when and where the incident took place, but it continues to create shockwaves across social media platforms and raises some pertinent questions regarding the law and order situation.
