Kolkata: A Vistara's Mumbai-Kolkata flight met turbulence on Monday and eight passengers were reportedly injured with three sustaining serious injuries.
According to the sources, aircraft UK775 from Mumbai to Kolkata had significant turbulence 15 minutes before landing, injuring a few passengers.
They were provided first aid during the flight and medical help upon arrival in Kolkata.
“We're saddened by our customer unfortunate experience and we're closely monitoring on the health of those who were hurt. We are investigating the matter as quickly as possible and will provide an update as soon as possible,” a Vistara spokesperson said.
The plane had 113 passengers on board, according to initial reports.
