Woman kills husband with lover's help; body buried at home

Mumbai: A 28-year-old lady killed her husband with the help of her lover and buried his body inside her house in Mumbai's western district Dahisar, police said.

According to the sources, the woman identified as Rasheeda Sheikh, was caught during the day while her lover Amit Mishra is on the run.

The accused allegedly sliced the victim Raees Sheikh's neck with a sharp weapon in front of his small daughter 12 days ago.

Policed said that the two then buried the body in the woman's room and went about their lives.

The victim used to work as a salesperson at a clothing store.

After not seeing him for over a week, his neighbour filed a missing person's report on May 25.

According to the police, the incident came to light when the victim's brother arrived at his home and his niece broke down and told him about the murder.

The body which was buried in the woman's room is being recovered by the police, police added.
