“Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” Actor Karan Mehra Accused Of Beating Wife, Gets Bail After Arrest

Mumbai: Karan Mehra, a popular television actor who portrayed an ideal father and a devoted husband in one of the country's longest-running daily operas, has been accused of physically abusing his wife.

Nisha Rawal, a TV actress claims her husband Karan attacked her last night after a fight.

Karan, who played the lead on the popular TV show "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" was arrested this morning.

Shortly after, he was granted bail.

Sections 336 (endangering human life or the personal safety of others), 337 (causing harm by an act that endangers human life), 332 (voluntarily causing harm to deter public servant from his duty), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code have been filed against him by the Goregaon Police.

Nisha Rawal is both a model and a well-known TV actor. She has appeared in a number of television ads, including those for Coca-Cola and Sunsilk shampoo.

She has also appeared in a couple of Bollywood films.

The duo was also seen together in the dance reality show "Nach Baliye."

They began their modelling careers as models. Before they married, they dated for nearly six years.

Both of them have a huge social media following. Nisha Rawal has over 9.35 lakh Instagram followers, while Karan Mehra has over 6.45 lakh.
