SSC CGL exam is taken in four tiers; the first two tiers of the exam are taken in an online mode while SSC CGL tier-III is an offline exam. SSC CGL Tier-IV is a computer proficiency test/data entry skill test (if applicable)/document verification.

A total of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of 200 marks are asked in the SSC CGL tier-I exam. Candidates are given 60 minutes (one hour) to complete the paper. For every correct option, candidates will get one mark while 0.50 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
