GoAir is likely to start its low-cost airline operations on the Aizawl-Guwahati sector from October 4 this year.
Reportedly, GoAir deputy manager (airports) Sumit Bhandari has arrived in Aizawl to discuss the proposal of air service with Mizoram officials.
There was a discussion between the two parties on various requirements for the functioning of the airline service. They expressed hope that the airline will start operations expressed hope that the airline will start operations.

Meanwhile, GoAir informed that it will operate Airbus-A320 daily. As per schedules announced by The departure time of the aircraft from Guwahati is fixed at 6.50 am and arrival at Lengpui airport at 7.50 am, while a departure from Aizawl is at 8:40 am and arrival at Guwahati airport at 9:50 am.
After Jet Airways withdrew operations from the state in the month of February this year, Mizoram has been facing air link problems. Mizoram also lacks direct air link with Delhi, except for one by Air India.
