KFC or Kentucky Fried Chicken has announced to suspend its famous slogan ‘Finger Lickin’ Good’ due to novel coronavirus. The brand has admitted that its famous Finger Lickin’ Good slogan is not quite right for the era of face masks and official hand-washing advice, as it launches a new advertising campaign with a change of focus.
The slogan, which has been around for 64 years, is said to be going away “for a little while.” The exact length of time it will be gone has not been revealed.
"We find ourselves in a unique situation having an iconic slogan that doesn’t quite fit in the current environment," Catherine Tan-Gillespie, global chief marketing officer at KFC said.

Acknowledging the need to move on, at least for now, KFC released new advertising posters and packaging with the words ‘Finger Lickin’ blurred.
According to reports, more than 150 people complained to the Advertising Standards Authority in March.
KFC also made it known that it’s a brand willing to make fun of itself; the headline to KFC’s announcement read: “And the winner of the award for the most inappropriate slogan for 2020 goes to… KFC.”
