DESCRIPTION –This dish is another mouth savoring Chutney from the Homeland of Nagaland.
DURATION- 45 MINUTES
SERVES – 2 TO 4 PEOPLE
INGREDIENTS: QUANTITY
Tomatoes 150 grams
Fermented Dry Fish 75 grams
Naga Basil Leaves 10 grams
Garlic 10 grams
Dry Yam Stem 50 Grams
Salt 1 tbsp
METHOD:
In a pan put tomatoes, chilies, fish and salt, add about quarter cup of water, and boil this for about for 15-20 minutes.
Remove from flame and grind it into a coarse paste. Cook this paste again for 12-15 minutes.
Now add the dry Yam stems and cook again for 10 minutes.
Finally put in crushed garlic and hand torn basil leaves.
Serve this with steamed rice.
