SMALL FISH COOKED WITH KOKUM (THEKERA TENGARE XORU MASOR ANJA)

INGREDIENTS (Small Fish with kokum) :

Small fish 250gms, thoroughly cleaned and washed properly and marinated with salt and turmeric and shallow fried

Sun dried kokum few pieces soaked in 1 cup of water

Turmeric 1 tspn

Salt as required

Mustard oil 1 tbspn

Pachforon 1/2 tspn

Green chilli 2 numbers sliced

Rice flour 2 tbspn

PROCEDURE :

Heat oil in a karahi and add panchphoron and wait for few seconds

Add turmeric and then add the kokum pieces and reserve the water

Now stirfry for few seconds

Add water and cook for few seconds

Add fried fish and cook for few minutes

Add salt and green chillies

Add rice flour in the kokum water and mix well and add this to the fish curry and cook for few minutes.

Add 1/2 tspn of jaggery or sugar but this is optional.

Serve it with steam  rice.
