The 12-day Dwijing Festival that began on 27th December, 2018 ended on Sunday.
The 3rd Edition of the festival was organized at the Aie River Park, Hagrama Bridge in Chirang and the festival witnessed massive footfall.
The event was attended by several bureaucrats, celebrities and politicians in huge numbers.
The penultimate day of the festival was attended by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Rihon Daimary Minister, PHE and Chandan Brahma, Minister, Tourism.
The 12 day event witnessed world class performances and visits by local, national and international celebrities and performers. Bollywood celebrities too performed during the fest. Mallaika Arora, the Great Khali, Amit Trivedi, Budang Bolong Brahma, Usha Rani Brahma, Praneeta Swargiary, Himesh Reshamiya, Kailash Kher are amongst the few names whose presence brightened up the festival environment. Singer Lucky Ali came all the way to Assam from New Zealand for the first time for the Dwijing Fest.
Display of Bodo traditional house, ethnic food and culture, book stalls, traditional stage, adventure sports, rifle-shooting, jeep and elephant safari, fireworks show etc. were other major attractions of the fest.
